Gully TK: Honestly, we don’t have time to worry about that. Besides, why would I want to start trouble with someone who basically paved the way for what I am doing right now? Organik and Smack are cool. We really don’t have any beef with anyone. We’re busy just trying to put together these events and continue growing. So we are all cool and there are no problems between us. Novie Blendz: The fact that you all are cool is dope. I just think some people are just negative. I would love to see you guys at KOTD and the team at the URL work together and create a monster card and have one huge event. How dope would that be? After all, teamwork makes the dream work. It’s all about unity. Gully TK: It would be dope and crazy if KOTD and URL combined; that would be like a mega-event. But who knows? Novie Blendz: Moving forward, what is next for GZ? Gully TK: Our next event is going to be in Sauga! I’m excited. Then we are going to have the title contention with DDSS. Then we’re going to be traveling around with it; have a couple of events. Lastly we will be getting ready for the next Grand Prix, which will probably take place sometime next winter. As of now, we are just continuing with building up the talent for World Domination 5, in August. 30 Novie Blendz: Any advice for up-and-coming talent trying to get on GZ? Gully TK: Yeah. I wouldn’t try to put too much pressure on them, but I’d let them know not to be nervous; put on a good show. It’s their time to shine and prove why they deserve to be in this league. Remain humble, confident and come in with your best material — and smash through whoever’s given to you. Novie Blendz: Out of curiosity, what’s good with your slogan and where did the name “Gully TK” come from? Gully TK: The slogan just happened because I literally couldn’t think of anything to end off with when I was hosting; so I kind of just said, “Yah dig?” Then it stuck. I’m just one of those people who comes up with words for the week and then the guys start saying it. Like, “Squad”. I started saying it, then it turned into this whole tour thing and now everybody’s saying it. It’s awesome though. With my name, I had that when I was mad young. I was like 15. It was “Gully Tha Kid”. It wasn’t on some ‘gangsta’ type of thing. I was just a real. I was into skateboarding, but I hung out with the ‘gangsta type of people”. So they started calling me Gully. Then when I started rapping, I added “Tha Kid” to it. Then people started thinking I tried to steal Gillie Da Kid’s name; so then I chopped it down, and it became “Gully TK”. Novie Blendz: Do you have any shoutouts or acknowledgements before we close out? Gully TK: You, for this interview; which is great and I appreciate it. Shout to all the fam: Organik, Bishop, Avi and everyone in KOTD. All of the fans that rock with us, I love y’all. And shout to 100 Bars Magazine. -Novella /Novie Blendz
