Hello. My name is
Daylyt, also known as
Spawn — but so may
know me as Davone.
I was raised in the heart of Watts,
California — a place that is two
steps below hell. I attended the
famous Markham Middle School
with fellow California hip-hop artists
Nipsey Hussle and TDE’s Jay Rock.
Jay Rock and I were childhood
friends at Markham, but separated
when we got older because we
grew up on opposite sides of gang
territory. I was introduced to battle
rap in 2003, when I was forced to
battle after signing up on the wrong
list at a rap event called “The Pit”.
My first match ever was against
Dizaster. After facing Diz, I became
addicted to the sport. Battle rap
became my new fix; I used it as a
way to escape the harsh reality that I
called home.
As time passed, I realized battle rap

Watts, California, —
a.k.a Guttaville, straight
out of the Jordan Downs
Projects. Dre became involved with
KrackCity while growing up with
battle rappers Daylyt and Aktive,
who had formed KrackCity some
years prior with Dizaster and AV.

company, which is run by Davone
Campbell: my other side; my highend side; my intelligent side. After
hours of video production editing,
sometimes my only escape it is to
leave from behind the cameras and
get in front of them to let Daylyt
shine. There is also a side to me that
is the father of a wonderful child
that I named God. My son is who
i put my all into. I that know all
kings must die, and the Prince must
know how to run the kingdom once
the King is gone.
