Think back...in fact, go on youtube and look at the battles of old. And by old I mean 2 years ago. Which may as well be 2 decades ago in battle time. The lyrical difference is there. Lyricism seems to have taken a large nosedive into the ocean of mediocrity at an alarming rate.
