My name is Harriet and I am 12 years old. I live in a house with my mum, dad and
little sister. We live in the middle of the wood about 5 miles from anything else. I
have blonde hair and blue eyes. My hair is not straight nor frizzy so it is probably
wavy. I take my looks after my mum except my eyes they are my dads. We have
very peculiar coloured eyes.
The house I live in is the size of a mansion, but is ancient and eerie. It is dismal,
damp and frail. I pretend I like it but I really don’t. My mum and dad think that it’s a
great place to live and that we will never move. I found that very peculiar.
That night when I was supposed to be in bed but didn’t feel like going to sleep, I
heard a weird noise. It was coming from my mum and dad’s room.”HOWL!” I heard it
again. I wanted to investigate; I couldn’t move any part of my body. I finally, after
about five minutes, got out of my bed and was about to open the door, when I heard
a snarl and it didn’t sound human.
The noise faded back into my mum and dad’s room. I picked up the courage and
turned the ancient door knob. Every second my heart beat seemed to get faster and
faster, until I froze. There stood where my parents stood were two huge, hairy
werewolves!
I can’t remember much after that, I must have fainted because I woke up in the
middle of the hallway, where I had been last night. I didn’t know how my sister could
have slept through all the noise. When we were having breakfast I found it awkward
to be around my parents knowing they were werewolves, and that they had never
told me. I also found it hard to not tell my friends and even my sister.
After school that day I went round to my friend annie’s house for a sleepover, to try
and forget that my parents were werewolves. We ended up doing some games like
truth or dare, and a game where you tell each other secrets. Annie had some funny
secrets, and then it was my turn. I didn’t know what to do mine on. I panicked and
said something I regret. I might have just told her that my parents were werewolves.
WHOOPS!
