Despite an injury that held him back in 2023, he shone as a genuine WorldSSP championship contender in 2024, winning seven races and only losing his overall second place in the dramatic final few races. He’ s stepped up to WorldSBK for 2025.
Pese al freno que le supuso su lesión en 2023, Montella brilló con luz propia como serio aspirante al título de WorldSSP en 2024 ganando siete carreras y perdiendo sus opciones al subcampeonato en las últimas pruebas, extremadamente reñidas. Ha dado el salto a WorldSBK para la temporada 2025.
