In evaluation I am not completely happy with the finished product of coursework. The main reason for this is because I didn't meet the deadline and also I feel and I know that I could have completed it to a much better standard.

Although I was not completely unhappy with my coursework. I was very happy with how the eras pages in my sketchbook worked out. I liked the layout, I chose this layout for a particular reason. This reason is I wanted to make the sketchbook both visual but also include a lot of different facts and writing so that it appeals to different people who interact in different ways. By doing this it was possible to learn from my sketchbook via either just pictures, just text or a mixture of both. I collaged all the photos and on some pages printed out larger images to make them stand out and hopefully be memorable in people's heads. Furthermore I used brown tags to put my text on and I tied these to the rings in the middle of my sketchbook; I like the look this created with the way they hung and also the colour of the tags against the very colourful backgrounds. Another thing I think went well with my sketchbook is how I used non italic writing for my general facts about the eras and then italic writing for my fashion facts- this is another way to make it easier for the reader to understand and also gain from the sketchbook what they actually want to. Thinking back I think I should have added a key at the begging of my book to explain this, although it is self explanatory, it would have been a good idea to do so so that people were aware from the very start. I got my sketchbook in by the deadline even though I had been ill, I took it up to college on the day it was due.

Next is my research folder. I don't think I included completely everything that I could/ should have in my research folder. I did collect lots of different magazines which I placed in there and also several news of the day stories; one for each of 'PESTLE'. I was pleased with myself that I did this as I believe it shows my understanding and also provides a range of different news stories. One piece of work I was particularly pleased with in my research folder was my technology in retailing work that I completed. I remember spending a lot of time researching into this piece of work.

When I began my coursework one of the first things I did was play around with Joomag to make myself more aware of how it works and so that I would be ready and able to use the software when I needed to; I believe this was a smart thing to do otherwise towards the end I could have ended up in a panic, not being able to work it. Overall I am happy with the standard of most of my actual work in my Joomag. I completed all the tasks which had been set and feel that I completed them to a good standard. My favourite parts which I am most proud of are actually the videos within my Joomag; my get the look video, my controversial ad and also my Zara ad campaign. I really enjoyed creating all three of these videos and was very proud of the outcome of them all. I feel that with these my hard work shows through the outcomes. I found researching the controversial advertisements so interesting and was very shocked at some that I found on the way; I also found it interesting thinking deeper into the ads as to what deeper messages they portray and also finding out the reactions which others had to these. Also with my Zara campaign I think Molly and I worked very well as a team. We had to organise ourselves well and plan out what oh of us were going to be doing as we don't like close to us. We decided that Molly would film the footage as she had a good space nearby to her to set it out in and also she had the most clothes from Zara and then I would put all the videos together, edit them and add music etc. We was both so happy with the outcome and excited to present it. We felt it looked very real and professional and fitted the Zara brand perfectly. If we had had more clothing we would have liked to have included more than one outfit and also would have liked us both to have been able to feature in the video. Within my Joomag I wrote a whole evaluation on my solely my get the look. I worked as a group, once again, to create this video. We shot the video twice, once at the V&A and then one back at college and improved the second time round. We improved listening to the feedback we gave ourselves and also the feedback others gave us and commented about it. This video was a lot of fun to shoot and we are really glad we added the catwalk as an addition as it made our video very unique and more memorable. Making this video made me realise how many clothes in our wardrobes today reflect past eras and we're influenced by them. Lastly I think we all presented confidently and included the correct key information when showing our video to our tutor and peers.

I think my main downfall of this coursework was my overall time management. I a fair few things a little bit too last minute. Very last minute I encountered a few problems; I was ill on the last week before the deadline and also I moved house. Both of these impacted the time I had to finish off my last few bits of work, they both took a lot of time away from me as I wasn't up to doing work in some of the time I had planned and also I had to make time to help pack up the house and move. Also I lost internet connection when moving to the new house. I am really disappointed that these things occurred in my very last week of time for my coursework and ended up effecting me and making me hand in this work past the deadline. I spent a lot of time on this work so handing it in late and only being able to get a pass is so disappointing to me and I feel so frustrated with myself. Although I really feel that I have learnt from this and am taking it as a lesson to get things done a lot earlier; although these events couldn't have been helped if I had been finished sooner I would not have encountered such a problem.

My other issue which I feel led to not meeting the deadline is how long I spend on things. I have big ideas and try to put them into practice but end up spending to much time on them. For example I spent a lot of time on my visuals for my Motel Rocks evaluation in my Joomag. I was so pleased with this as it looked really effective although I should have looked at things like this once I had completed the actual work rather than wasting time on them at the start. In the future I am going to do my work and then work on things like this so I can ensure I get everything done and then use these things as improvements.

The main improvement I would have made is the visuals to my Joomag. I would have made it o much more visual and interesting if I had had the time/had planned my timing better. I wanted it to look exactly like a magazine, adding effects such as the Motel Rocks logo that I created. I would have definatley have improved my front cover and made it more interesting. I also would have made the backgrounds not plain and added backgrounds.
