Christmas in the Park “What a great way to celebrate the Christmas spirit in Humboldt, Tennessee!” For many years now, the Chamber of Commerce has been a partner with the City of Humboldt and BancorpSouth in kicking off the Christmas season in Humboldt. With great weather and lots of great volunteers, this season’s event had one of the largest crowds in years. Held on Thursday, January 4 at Bailey Park, there was no shortage of fun for all ages. The festivities got underway with music provided by the Humboldt High School band, followed by remarks by our honoree, Mr. Lyndell Bunn. After the arrival of Santa Clause on a fire truck, there was a Christmas story read by Children’s Librarian, Sarah Peden. Stigall Primary School children entertained with some lively music and hand bells, and the event was rounded out with bicycle and goody-bag giveaways for the kids. Throughout the evening, coats were given to needy families courtesy of the Junior Auxiliary. This event is truly a community effort and we can’t thank the volunteers and donors enough for their generosity. What a great way to celebrate the Christmas spirit in Humboldt, Tennessee!
