We are capable of doing better . According to inclusive language , all people should be treated with respect , dignity , and impartiality . It is intended to welcome everyone into the company and keep no one out . It does make a request of us . It encourages us to give it a shot . To alter deeply ingrained habits . To think about the meaning of words and phrases that have gone unchecked for a long time . To go deeply into empathy and imagine a situation that isn ' t our
