The Fastest Growing Apps of 2013!
What do Vine,
Flickr and
Instagram all
have in common?
They are this
year’s fastest
growing apps
according to
market research
firm
GlobalWebIndex.
Vine experienced
a whopping 403%
increase over the
course of the year while Flickr and Instagram saw about 146% and
130% growth respectively. Other apps on the list include Twitter,
Facebook, WhatsApp, Youtube and Skype. What’s interesting about
the top three apps is that they are all visual apps; in other words, their
main focus revolves around the sharing of pictures and/or videos. This
would explain why marketers have been vying for ad-space on mobile
apps recently, people tend to share and enjoy images more than
sending a tweet or posting a status : Marketing majors, TAKE NOTES!

I asked myself, how many more times am I going to get my resume approved?
Or how many times can I attend the numerous career workshops? Is the job
market that severely competitive? After all these various questions, I figured I
just concentrate on class and the newly arrived guest speakers whose topic was
Lessons for Life. After the detailed introductions to the speakers, the actual
presentation followed. I had no idea how significant and mind altering this
speaker session would be.
The first speaker elaborated on the role of interviewing. He explained that he
had given interviews countless times in the course of his life. He had flown
back and forth to California, flown with his wife to Hawaii for four days and
mostly all over the country to examine the company and its people. Students
need to realize that interviewing does not end with just a couple of interview
rounds. It is indeed a life-long and enduring process. He could not stress
enough the importance of constructing and updating one’s resume. It is
imperative students do so, to remain active and conscious of the job-hunting
process. In addition, he also shared
