1 - Introduction - Living like a real Christian PEACE | Page 2
Hello everyone
Galatians 5 has been, for us, our focus of sermon material and has set for us the
theme of the Fruit of the Spirit.
Last week we spoke about the aspect of Joy by saying that joyful people are
noticeable by four things:
1. They are confident in the controller of their lives
2. They are content in the circumference of the their lives
3. They are committed to building character in their lives
4. They are committed to the call of God upon their lives.
It is hugely interesting to notice the connection that exists between joyful
people and peaceful people. People of peace will find peace for the same
reason that they find joy, but in Galatians 5 there is a specific mention of peace.
It would therefore be logical to assume that peace, although linked with joy,
has to have a specific individual focus. This will be our contemplation for the
coming two weeks.
One of the names of Jesus is “Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9 v 6). The bottom line
premise for everything that we will be saying can be captured in this following
sentence, God does not give peace; HE IS PEACE. Therefore, when you find
God, you find peace. Think about that as we contemplate the rest of the week.
God bless you
