2. He reviews not just who God is, but he remembers what God has done – this is the
next thing he does to feed his faith and thereby fill his faith tank. He reminds himself of
the power that God has in creation.
Our reading today, Hebrews 11, does that for us. As I read it, I find my faith being
strengthened as I remind myself of all His mighty acts as witnessed by these faith-filled
heroes. Won’t you, before you go further, read it again and allow your imagination to
run wild as you contemplate the stories of Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob,
Moses, and a host of others. As you consider these stories afresh, it will feed your soul
and fill your “faith tank”, so that you too can face all the challenges that life has to
throw at you.
Prayer Thought: As you pray today, allow your perception of God to get bigger. Feel free to
pray bigger prayers today than you did yesterday, but not as big as I know you will pray
tomorrow.
