life, that this friendship will supernaturally cause something within us to die, (our old nature) and a new nature to come alive in Christ. It is this new nature of Christ in us that will evidence the goodness of God through us. Prayer Thought: Today won’t you once again come to Jesus in prayer and talk to Him as you would a friend. Practice this presence of Christ throughout the day, build upon that friendship in such a way that an infusion between His life and yours becomes the reality of the supernatural dynamic that is our Christian faith. SUNDAY Psalm 37 v 23 – “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord; though he stumble he will not fall for the Lord upholds him with his hand.” Today I would like to appeal to your sense of imagination and ask you to imagine, with me, the ramifications of a “goodness revolution”. This may sound somewhat philosophical, but play along with me. Could you, in your wildest imagination, imagine what South Africa would look like if there was a “goodness revolution”, where the people in South Africa, instead of trying to be great,were happy with just being good? Where, as a result of goodness being shown by one to the other, crime would become a thing of the past; poverty would be eliminated as people would share their resources with those underprivileged; the issues of hi-jacking would stop overnight; women and children would be treated in a way they deserved and our culture would be driven by kindness and compassion – who wouldn’t want to live in a country like that?! Let’s bring this thought a bit closer to home and imagine this church in a “goodness revolution”. Imagine the impact this church would make in the community where there would be less judgemental shouting, and compassion would be poured extravagantly into the areas of need around us; where, as a result of the pouring out of goodness into our community, we have prepared the soil for the sowing of the seed of the Gospel. How much better our community would listen to the truth of Christ if we could sow into ground already prepared. Imagine, if you will, your family being subjected to a “goodness revolution” where forgiveness and reconciliation become the order of the day. Let’s come even closer to home; imagine the impact on your personal life if you were to be subjected to a “goodness revolution”, where the intentions of
