life, that this friendship will supernaturally cause something within us to die, (our
old nature) and a new nature to come alive in Christ. It is this new nature of Christ
in us that will evidence the goodness of God through us.
Prayer Thought: Today won’t you once again come to Jesus in prayer and talk to
Him as you would a friend. Practice this presence of Christ throughout the day,

Psalm 37 v 23 – “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord; though he
stumble he will not fall for the Lord upholds him with his hand.”
Today I would like to appeal to your sense of imagination and ask you to imagine,
with me, the ramifications of a “goodness revolution”. This may sound somewhat
philosophical, but play along with me. Could you, in your wildest imagination,
imagine what South Africa would look like if there was a “goodness revolution”,
where the people in South Africa, instead of trying to be great, were happy with
just being good? Where, as a result of goodness being shown by one to the other,

home and imagine this church in a “goodness revolution”. Imagine the impact this
church would make in the community where there would be less judgemental
shouting, and compassion would be poured extravagantly into the areas of need
around us; where, as a result of the pouring out of goodness into our community,
we have prepared the soil for the sowing of the seed of the Gospel. How much
better our community would listen to the truth of Christ if we could sow into
ground already prepared. Imagine, if you will, your family being subjected to a
“goodness revolution” where forgiveness and reconciliation become the order of
the day. Let’s come even closer to home; imagine the impact on your personal life
if you were to be subjected to a “goodness revolution”, where the intentions of
