The first temptation when dealing with these people is to judge them and point out
their flaws and failures. Reading the accounts of Jesus, I never once find Him doing
that, instead He was the master of giving people the benefit of the doubt and His
ability to meet people at the point of their need, even though it was most often selfinflicted, is the example that we should all imitate. Once again I say to you the
mercy is sensitive, but not always sensible, but let’s give it anyway.
Prayer Thought: Won’t you as you pray today make a mental picture of all the

people that you could possibly meet today. Won’t you program your response to them
according to the merciful response to Jesus and then tomorrow when you wake up do
the same thing again. Keep doing this until the habit of merciful living becomes a
reality.

So far we have said that mercy is sensitive but not always sensible. Today I would
