could have spent her life in opulence and luxury. But one day, Mordecai, her uncle challenged her in a way that is similar to what the Holy Spirit does. He said to her, Esther 4 v 14, “Esther for such a time as this you have been put in this place of authority in the kingdom and with this authority comes enormous responsibility, you can either stay comfortable in your kingdom, or you can save the nation.” The story is a wonderful story of this young girl responding to her uncle’s challenge and if Esther had not done what she did, the nation of Israel would have suffered a terrible blow. I do not want to be over dramatic, but I do want to tell you that the words of Mordecai to Esther could well be the words of the Holy Spirit to you. Could it be for such a time as this that you have been put in the place that you are so that you can make an impact for the kingdom and serve the purpose of God for your generation. Prayer Thought: I find both of the above thoughts personally incredibly challenging and realise first of all that the power of repentance is in my hands. I cannot fool God with my tears of remorse, this makes me re-evaluate so much. Won’t you take some time to do the same. Secondly I am blown away by the fact that God would have a purpose for me to make a difference in this world. It may not be to the same extent as Esther but that doesn’t matter, I just want to leave this world having left a mark on it for the good of the kingdom of God. I wo
