MEET THE
Founding Partner of
Major John “ Rain ” Waters has a deep love of aviation and an admiration for the pioneers who took to the skies when many said he was crazy to do so . Now , he is sharing that passion and drive with others whenever he can , knowing the next generation of flyers will continue to push the boundaries and make “ the impossible ” become routine , with the courage pilots have had for decades .
Rain , who learned to fly at 17 in a C-152 Texas Tailwheel Conversion , is currently a 777 cargo pilot and serves in the Air Force Recruiting Service . Prior to that assignment , he was the commander and pilot for the U . S . Air Force F16 Viper Demonstration Team based at Shaw AFB in South Carolina .
During his active military service Rain flew over 2,500 hours and 180 combat missions in various military aircraft , including the F-16C / D , MC-12W , T-38C , T-6II , C-172 , C-152 , and DA-20 . He hosts The Afterburn Podcast where he chats with people from various backgrounds to learn about their journey through life .
