After everyone was down and the competitions were over , it was time for the main event … lunch ! Our hosts had prepared quite the treat for us . They made us Venison Meatloaf , served with mashed potatoes , and green beans . And , if you have never had Venison Meatloaf before , you don ’ t know what you ’ re missing . And to top it off , there was pumpkin pie for dessert . What a great meal !
After some more story-telling and checking out each other ’ s planes , it was time to take to the skies again and head
back to Ft . Lauderdale . Before we left though , one of the other pilots did a flyby to get a picture of the group .
Afternoon flying in South Florida can get quite bumpy with turbulence , so on the way back , we reached for more altitude than our morning flight to smooth out the potholes . Part of the fun of Cub flying is being low and checking out the surroundings , but since we didn ’ t want to take on the bumps , it gave us some time to think about the day , and what this could mean for our members .
We started thinking about how we could bring the E3 Aviation members together with the E3 Firearms members , and have a fun day at the range . During our talks with some of the other pilots , we learned that there is a fly-in with hundreds of aircraft flying in for a week of camping in South Carolina . Another opportunity for E3 Camping and E3 Aviation .
This was a fun outing and a great experience , with people who share a similar passion , which sums up the E3 experience . Like-minded members sharing the same hobbies and experiences . Together , these common bonds serve to empower , educate , entertain , and enrich our lives .
Plans are in the works to pull together this exclusive E3 adventure and share it with our members . Stay tuned … more to come .
