The main focus of the conference is raising awareness about the excellent careers that medicine has to offer, Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) remain a fundamental core that will enhance and support the national economy and Qatar 2030 vision. STEM being a top priority for Qatar, the Conference presents a great platform to engage topnotch educators across these various disciplines to achieve an integrated approach for students and prepare them for the future.
What ARE THE GOALS?
Raise Awareness about careers in medicine and strengthen current interest in science/medical fields by:
- Reinforcing science/medical activity within an academic setting.
- Stimulating new interests in local high schools.
- Raising awareness of parents in planning future secondary education.
Develop partnerships with local school by:
- Providing professional development opportunities for high school teachers.
- Liaising with high school teachers on science subject methods of learning.
- Fostering innovative ideas in teaching and learning.
Enhance college readiness skills by:
- Offering students the opportunity to explore topics of science interest through understanding research, poster presentations and oral presentations.
- Creating a platform for innovative public speaking and critical thinking.
- Providing a forum for high school students to showcase their talents and skills.
