The ocean is not as wild as it once was . For decades , humans have been dumping rubbish out at sea in the belief that the water was so vast and deep that it would simply disappear forever . Now we know that this isn ’ t the case . Almost all of the rubbish that has ever been dropped into the ocean is still there . Most of this rubbish can be very harmful to the animals and plants that live there . Occasionally though , a human-made item may find its way down to the watery depths and create a whole new habitat , making an extraordinary new home for a host of weird and wonderful creatures .

After Titanic sank , it took 73 years for ocean explorers to find its resting place on the ocean floor . Down at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean , 3,800 metres below sea level , the water around the sunken ship is pitch black and freezing cold . No sunlight makes it that far down , so the only light around the wreck comes from the creatures of the deep themselves . With the weight of the entire ocean above them , the pressure of the water is crushing . Despite these inhospitable conditions , by the time Titanic was found , more than 20 different species of animal had moved into the shipwreck and called it home !
