Pacific Coast Producers grows , packages and markets canned fruits and tomatoes for retail , foodservice and industrial clients all over the country . Founded in 1971 , the California agricultural cooperative has based its tomato production in Woodland since 2001 . The Woodland plant produces more than 250 SKUs of retail and foodservice tomato products annually . California farmers grow more than 90 % of all processing tomatoes nationwide — PCP ’ s Woodland plant handles 28 % of Yolo County ’ s tonnage and 5 % of California ’ s tonnage .

PCP ’ s produce is provided by more than 150 family farms that co-own the agricultural cooperative . Fourthgeneration farmer Sam Meek , who recently took over operations at J . H . Meek & Sons from his father , Steve Meek , says , “ As a Pacific Coast Producers grower-owner , I ’ m proud our tomatoes are part of this cooperative ’ s success as it supplies quality products regionally and nationwide . I will continue the Meek family legacy of quality tomatoes and sustainable farming .”
Logistics manager Blanca McAnelly comes from a PCP family , as both her
parents and sisters have worked for the company . McAnelly began with PCP straight out of high school in 1994 as a seasonal support staff member and worked her way up through several departments and positions , including HR and shipping supervisor . “ My current position is intensely busy and every season brings its own challenges ,” McAnelly says , “ but I love solving problems and appreciate PCP as a great company to work for .”
Kevin Donovan , PCP ’ s head warehouse and label line mechanic for the past 14 years , loves the challenges of installing and fixing equipment and systems . A Woodland resident for 37 years , Kevin has been with PCP since the launch of its Woodland facility and has worked his way through various mechanics positions . “ PCP has enabled me to take good care of my family , so I enjoy the reward of fixing things and keeping the place running ,” Donovan says .
These people and so many others are the reason for PCP ’ s long history of success and the foundation for its bright future .

PCP has enabled me to take good care of my family , so I enjoy the reward of fixing things and keeping the
place running .
