He also notes that it ’ s not enough to rely on UC Davis to supply the next generation of home-grown ag innovators , so Woodland introduced a new initiative this fall called the Woodland Promise Program . The partnership between the city and Woodland Community College has two components , one that covers up to two years of college fees for eligible students and another that offers scholarships to assist students with college expenses . “ We don ’ t want anyone to say they can ’ t afford to go to school ,” Lansburgh says . “ We have it covered .”
