SAFE ’ s Community Relations team
enthusiastically brings programs focused on financial wellbeing to the Greater
Sacramento community . The team is led by four visionary women : Assistant Vice President of Community Relations Rebecca Delmundo ; Community Impact Manager Amanda Merz ; Financial Wellness Manager Tracy Bezanson ; and Community Relations Manager Debbie Struhm .
Together , they provide impactful outreach to individuals , employers and organizations in the region .
“ The Community Relations team is devoted to driving community impact and engagement through financial wellness initiatives and philanthropy ,” Delmundo says . “ We are here to help all who live and work in the Sacramento region have a better understanding of their finances and how to develop healthy financial habits .”
Merz adds , “ Philanthropy is at the heart of SAFE ’ s involvement in the community . SAFE provides more than $ 400,000 a year through direct donations , grants to nonprofits and scholarships to local students . We support three pillars of giving : health , education and active and retired military personnel .”
The Workplace Financial Wellness team works with many local employers to bring financial wellness services to their employees . “ We provide tools employees can use to improve their financial wellness and reduce financial distraction and stress ,” Struhm says .
Bezanson leads a team of dynamic educators who provide financial insights through engaging and interactive webinars and workshops . “ We provide quality , useful information on a wide range of topics , including first-time home buying , setting up trusts , managing credit and how to be more mindful with your money ,” she says . “ See and register for our latest webinars at safecu . org / events .”
