In the past few years, the M1000RR has proven to be a consistently competitive base for WorldSBK racing. To the surprise of most, he won the championship that year and then went on to repeat his success in 2025. A full factory effort again this year.

After winning the championship with Alvaro Bautista twice, in 2022 and 2023, Ducati then returned to its previous status as the go-to WorldSBK manufacturer for many Independent Teams. Back again in 2026 with a heavily revamped new homologation- the Panigale V4-RS.
