Already a podium-capable rider in the WorldSSP Championship last year, when riding for the Yamaha bLU cRU Evan Bros Team, Surra has been a strong force in the Moto2 EC Championship and an occasional runner in Moto2. He takes as big a step as it is possible to take inside the production-derived racing world with one giant leap this year, as he heads into WorldSBK full of ambition and hope. Motocorsa has a big reputation inside the Independent Championship scene already, so Surra could not be better placed for his rookie campaign.

A Moto2 champion as recently as 2021, Remy’ s lone MotoGP season did not quite go to plan. That would prove to be WorldSBK’ s subsequent good fortune. He’ s now competed in 100 WorldSBK races, even before 2026 starts. A solid 2023 led to his first podium finish and a fastest lap on the 2024 Yamaha R1. He had another podium last year and finished the season just outside the top ten. Another rider with a lot to prove in the 2026 season that sees so many changes of rider and team line-ups.
