Comstock ’ s is delighted to welcome you to this Special Section highlighting Placer Valley in partnership with Placer County and the Cities of Roseville and Lincoln . Placer Valley encompasses the cities of Roseville , Rocklin , Lincoln , Granite Bay and the unincorporated areas of South Placer County .
Despite the last year of pandemic life , Placer ’ s economy is on fire , with several exciting developments in the works and a decidedly pro-business atmosphere . The Placer Ranch Specific Plan will house satellite campuses for both Sacramento State and Sierra College , bringing job training and a highly skilled future workforce to the area . Thunder Valley Casino Resort recently added a hotel and a tribal event center . And amidst all this growth , the Placer County Conservation Program is charged with protecting the land that allows the region to maintain its status as an employment powerhouse .
Placer County is also home to excellent educational offerings , from elementary school to college . The Placer County school system is committed not only to turning out high test scores , but also providing vocational training and mental health support to its students . The planned satellite campus for Sierra College will bring access to myriad

professional certificate programs and Sac State ’ s proposed Placer Center will transform 300 acres of Placer Ranch in the Sunset Area into a campus serving thousands of students . William Jessup University , a private Christian university located in Rocklin , is continuously expanding its offerings , like its new School of Nursing .
Placer County is also known for its bountiful beauty and incredible array of award-winning drinking , dining and
entertainment options . The Placer Wine and Ale Trail connects 23 boutique wineries , 15 craft breweries , one craft distillery and dozens of tap rooms , wine bars , eateries and more . The surrounding landscape is also home to world-class river canyons , rafting , fishing , bird watching , biking , hiking , horseback riding , camping , boating , rock climbing and more .
