Handoff to the Next Generation
On July 1 , 2021 , Ryan Lucchetti took over as president and CEO of Pacific Coast Building Products , Inc . from his father David Lucchetti , who had held those titles and responsibilities for decades . Still involved with the company as Executive Chairman of the Board , David Lucchetti says , “ It ’ s time . I ’ m passing this company on to the next generation and Ryan is ready to carry the ball .”
Ryan Lucchetti ’ s grandfather Fred Anderson launched the company as a lumberyard in 1953 . Nearly 70 years later with operations in 11 states and two Canadian provinces , PCBP and its family of companies specializes in manufacturing and distribution of building products along with providing specialty contracting services to the construction industry . “ Our success really comes down to our people and their contributions ,” Ryan says .
Ryan started with the company during summer breaks from high school and college , and in 1998 started full-time .
Early on , he worked many jobs in the company ’ s manufacturing facilities and distribution yards , as well as inside and outside sales . He says , “ I learned what our people do and what our challenges are and I ’ m thankful for the perspective and empathy that provided .”
His first significant management role was as general manager of the company ’ s H . C . Muddox brick plant from 2006 to 2008 , which gave him experience in management on the manufacturing and production side as well as sales and marketing . From 2010 to taking on his newest role , he ’ s been president of PABCO Building Products , another of PCBP ’ s operating subsidiaries .
As he steps in as PCBP president and CEO , Ryan says , “ I feel blessed and excited for this opportunity . My goal is to continue to build on the success that my father , grandfather and so many others over the years have established and someday pass it along to the next generation .”
