As the Editor in Chief, I wish to thank more than 250 creative writers and artists who have willingly submitted their astonishing works to BTL. Whether your works are on these pages or not, each and every one of the submissions form the essence of BTL spirit, thank you. But also, on the backstage, we have 45 more amazing and passionate staff who spend late hours brainstorming ways to make BTL more BTL, and undoubtedly BTL would not be what it is today without these dedicated crew members. I especially would like to thank the Content Executive, Jillian Chun, who worked closely with me to find the best recipe for the issue Circle. Lastly, I would like to congratulate Jinwoo Lee who have bravely put himself forward as the new Chief Designer of BTL.(As the former Chief Designer, I can testify for how many hours he must have spent font-shopping, photoshopping, cropping and rearranging.) Despite the fact that this was his very first attempt at designing a whole book that began as blank sheets, the final product came out to be truly impressive. I thank him in advance as I excitedly anticipate for what more he has to offer us for our future issues. And very lastly and most importantly, I thank every single one of you, who would probably have swiftly skipped the Editor in Chief Letter page, anxious to taste the sweet fruit of this issue. The sweat of excitement in your palms as you hold this issue is all we hope for, as we present before you a circle of arts for everyone to sit around and talk about. Editor in Chief Junha Hwang 4 5
