Unleashing Leaders The Secret to Leading is Giving
With headquarters in Sacramento and an office in Boise , Idaho , leadership and management consulting company Unleashing Leaders ( UL ) works with willing leaders to accelerate the changes they seek . Clients include public agencies and private businesses experiencing complex challenges and changes . UL provides trusted change agents who strengthen and supplement clients ’ leadership teams to clarify priorities , align processes and engage people .
“ Our philanthropy mission is to unleash access to educational innovation , environmental stewardship and economic opportunity ,” says Lee Scott , founder . “ We see these three E ’ s as pillars of society — the Environment , which provides our physical foundations ; Education , which opens minds and doors to the world ; and Economy , which creates jobs and goods that sustain our communities . In particular , we support expanding and elevating access for youth , minorities , women and veterans .”
For two decades , UL has contributed to many nonprofit organizations including metro chambers , environmental and educational organizations , Greater Sacramento Economic Council and the BOLD Speaker Series . In addition , UL agents volunteer time to facilitate and train healthcare heroes , school educators and veterans transitioning into civilian life . In honor of their employees , UL donated 100 turkeys and 100 fleece blankets and sponsored 20 low-income children during the holidays . Over the last year , UL donated $ 48,457 to various programs for the blind , hungry , homeless , veterans , women , children and sex trafficking victims .
One of Sacramento ’ s fastest growing companies , Unleashing Leaders has already consulted or trained more than 28,000 leaders , but their vision is to unleash 1 million leaders . “ We are building on our trusted regional reputations to reach more leaders in person and online nationwide ,” Scott says . “ We grow when we give to our clients , our agents and our communities . Our philanthropy helps people we don ’ t get to have as clients , so everyone can benefit from a stronger pool of positive leaders and respectful relationships .”
