Bender Insurance Solutions was founded more than 80 years ago with a mission of providing protection , superior service and education to those who matter most . BIS has long had a strong relationship with Sacramento State . For several years , the firm offered the Warren G . Bender scholarship to students in the College of Business studying finance and risk management and BIS President Maggie Bender-Johnson has been a guest speaker for risk management courses . BIS has participated in numerous career fairs and the firm ’ s HR generalist has held large roles in the Sac State community .
