› Three-week rotations › Maximum elective time allowed by ACGME › Private clinic in Center for Family & Sports Medicine, with increasing clinic time each year › Strong procedure volume, including performance of colposcopy, long-acting reversible contraceptive insertion and removal, endometrial biopsy, minor skin procedures, exercise treadmill testing, circumcisions, joint injections, and more › Dedicated Sports Medicine rotations › High-volume prenatal care and pediatric care clinics › Robust inpatient adult, pediatric, and obstetric experiences all on our main campus
Our residency program offers eight areas of concentration( AOC) to enhance education for residents who are interested in heathcare disparities, women’ s health, sports medicine, academic medicine, emergency medicine, pediatrics, hospice and palliative care, leadership, advocacy and integrative lifestyle medicine. There is also dedicated LGBTQ health, anti-racism, substance abuse disorders, osteopathic manipulative treatment( OMT), and point of care ultrasound longitudinal curriculum.
Our broad spectrum of experiences prepares our graduates to practice anywhere. Recently, our graduates have been working in outpatient practices including practicing obstetrics, as inpatient hospitalists, in academic medicine, with international missions, in rural America, in addiction medicine, in hospice and palliative medicine, and in urgent care. Many of our graduates go on to complete further fellowship level training including women’ s health, sports medicine, hospice & palliative care, interventional pain management, emergency medicine, sleep medicine, and dermatology.
