Hartin and Hume , Inc . is celebrating its 40th anniversary as a full-service commercial general contractor . In four decades , this Rancho Cordovabased company has developed lasting relationships with clients , designers , and local subcontractors that enable their teams to complete a wide range of project types throughout Northern California on schedule and for the best value .
Harold Hartin , now retired , and Jeff Hume launched the company in 1982 . Today , Hume , president , and partner Eric Curtis , vice president , continue the track record by delivering outstanding finished products . “ Our reputation of standing by our work and ensuring that each job is a success is what our company is all about ,” Curtis says .
With a wide portfolio of clients in industries that range from auto dealers , manufacturing , logistics and warehouses to office , retail and more , Hartin and Hume has earned experience that is recognized during all phases of the project . Project construction types include concrete tilt-up , masonry , wood and steel frame buildings that range in size from 5,000-square-foot standalones to 200,000-square-foot office campuses .
“ Many of our superintendents and project managers have been with us for 20 and 30 years , and some since the very beginning ,” Hume says . “ Most have grown up in the construction industry and in our company , and are the foundation of our culture . Perry Davis started hammering nails with our inhouse wood framing division in 1983 and is now a senior project manager and our go-to TI expert .”
Looking to the next 40 years , Curtis and Hume envision sustained company growth that doesn ’ t compromise the company culture or reputation of excellence .
