UC DAVIS HEALTH
The proposed California Tower will include a 14-story hospital facility and 5-story pavilion adjacent to the existing UC Davis Medical Center – part of a hospital complex which has served neighborhoods at this location for 150 years . The proposed $ 3.75 billion project will further harness the advantage of UC Davis being Sacramento County ’ s second-largest employer to bring more jobs to the area and strengthen the socioeconomic infrastructure of the surrounding neighborhoods .
The project , scheduled to have patients moving in by the end of 2030 , is currently in the Design Development phase and pending further approvals . The last 18 months have been full of design collaboration meetings , programming , and partnering sessions .
