Founded in 1978 , Burger Physical Therapy provides clinical excellence throughout California . The company evaluates and treats a variety of conditions by offering physical , occupational and speech therapy , and provides services in outpatient clinics , acute hospitals , skilled nursing facilities , senior communities , schools and employer-based occupational health clinics .
“ We improve the lives of patients with many conditions including orthopedic injuries , neurological conditions , sports injuries , cumulative trauma and hand injuries . We also provide pediatric services and other specialties , such as women ’ s health ,” says President Carol Burger , who launched the company with a few service contracts in 1978 . Headquartered in Folsom , Burger Physical Therapy currently has 15 outpatient locations in the Greater Sacramento region and contracts throughout California .
Burger Physical Therapy has been a primary outpatient rehab partner with UC Davis Health since 1999 . “ Through that partnership , we ’ ve provided physical , occupational and speech
therapy services in our network of outpatient clinics ,” says Eric Burger , vice president of administrative services . “ We greatly value our long partnership with UC Davis Health and our ability to support both their patients and their health care professionals .”
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic , the health care industry has been challenged with staffing shortages . “ As essential workers , we ’ ve stayed open during the pandemic and we follow rigorous health and safety protocols , just as hospitals do ,” Eric says . “ We ’ ve weathered staffing shortages thanks to implementing telehealth measures , but primarily due to a very dedicated staff .”
Burger Physical Therapy is expanding . Currently , they are upgrading facilities and adding clinics , including recent additions in Rancho Cordova and Citrus Heights . The goal is to provide innovative and quality therapy services , supporting their partners and those in need in the community .
