Sheri Peifer exemplifies the heart of
Eskaton . Recognized as an “ old soul ” by those who know her , she deeply identifies with Eskaton ’ s clientele and its mission to transform the aging experience . As Eskaton ’ s chief strategy officer , Peifer is responsible for strategic planning , communication and marketing , community outreach , philanthropic impact , and technology innovation initiatives . A member of the Eskaton family for more than 15 years , she is proud to be supported by a talented team of colleagues and team members who care deeply for the region ’ s older adults and families .
“ I ’ ve always enjoyed being with older people rather than people my own age , even as a young girl ,” says Peifer . As a teenager , she worked as an intern in a large life plan community ( continuing care retirement community ) before earning a Bachelor of Arts in human development and gerontology and a Master of Science in gerontology and education . Having worked in nonprofit , for-profit and public aging sectors since , she ’ s learned the unique variants of each .
Peifer enjoys listening to people , asking questions and thinking critically about life experiences and the potential to create a better future . She says , “ I love people , authentic relationships and working collaboratively to improve people ’ s quality of life every day . That ’ s why Eskaton is a great fit , and I ’ m so thankful for my dedicated , talented Eskaton team who demonstrate our core values of being ethical , transparent , inclusive , innovative and purpose-driven in the daily work they do .”
Striving to fill the gaps of aging services and housing options , Eskaton tackles the most critical issues for our aging population . With resource navigators , an array of senior housing options , and nonmedical and medical home care services , Eskaton has a solution .
