Upon entering the office , you can ’ t help but marvel at the gold-foiled walls , the mosaic glass floor tile and the curtains crafted from Indian saris that Dr . Crooks made herself . “ When designing our office , I wanted to create an unconventionally unique ambiance for our patients ,” she says . “ People are often nervous about visiting the dentist , so we wanted to create a space where our patients feel surrounded by beauty and personal connection .”
Not only does Dr . Crooks deliver on providing patients with an understanding ear to their concerns , she also provides the most advanced treatments in dentistry . The path that led Dr . Crooks to a career in dentistry was a personal one . Her aunt , after whom she is named , died at age 18 from an abscessed upper tooth . As Dr . Crooks explains , bacteria traveled through her sinus and infected her brain . “ Such a tragedy should never happen , yet , unfortunately , it still happens today ,” she says . “ This is why I am dedicated to providing comprehensive care . Dental disease is 100 percent preventable and is all about hygiene and health .”
