For this edition , we asked site-based general managers what they consider to be their site ’ s 2023 priorities outside of safety and the supporting pillars .

The Miami team will continue the pursuit of improved reliability in our maintenance practices and programs . Being able to sustain our reliability efforts from the last two years has now become the work . This not only drives consistent and predictable operations but furthers the effort in meeting our safety performance expectations .

Tyrone is focused on getting our safe production credibility back . Our 2023 rallying cry is simple . If you ’ re not working on moving our tons or Leach to the Last Drop , then you ’ re not working on the right thing .

“ One of our highest priorities at Morenci is to double down on our efforts at the Clifton Training Center . Our intent is to enhance the training that supports all areas of our organization . Our plans are to more effectively deliver training required to support supervisor development , line of progression , reliability , employee development and retention , all of which are required for us to achieve our safe production goals .”

We had a set-back with an earlier planned housing development , but the team has dropped back , regrouped and will be presenting alternatives later this quarter . With a current housing waitlist of 140 employees , housing will be critical to our success with hiring and retention in 2023 .”

“ In 2023 , El Paso will continue efforts to create an environment where employees feel empowered to make decisions , embrace personal accountability and work on the mission of PBL – People Building a Legacy . Additionally , while somewhat strategic in nature , the refinery is excited to continue the work on converting from traditional copper starting sheet technology to permanent cathode technology .”
