TOUR DE TT GETS A NEW LOOK
The Tour de TT, which takes riders past all the locations where the TT has been held over the past hundred years, is being revamped for this special occasion. Artwork along the route will be restored, and more than twenty key locations, including the current circuit, will be extensively documented.
De Tour de TT gaat langs locaties waar de TT de afgelopen honderd jaar is gereden, wordt speciaal voor de gelegenheid opgeknapt. Onder aanvoering van het Recreatieschap Drenthe werken ondernemers en overheden, samen om motorrijders en fietsers op moderne wijze kennis te laten maken met onze bijzondere geschiedenis. Langs de route zijn kunst werken aanwezig. Meer dan twintig speciale belangrijke punten zullen uitgebreid worden beschreven, waaronder uiteraard het huidige circuit.
ONE-TIME MARATHON ON HISTORIC ROUTE
To mark the anniversary, the annual TT City Run will be expanded to include a full marathon. The 42-kilometre course will pass through three historic circuit locations. The race will start on the TT Circuit and finish at Torenlaan in Assen, the former site of the TT Bureau. The route will also pass through Rolde and Hooghalen. This will be the first-ever road marathon in Assen. At the finish line, participants will receive a special marathon medal.
Speciaal voor het jubileum wordt de jaarlijkse TT City Run uitgebreid met een marathon. Het ruim 42 kilometer lange parcours gaat over drie klassieke locaties van het circuit. De start is op het circuit. De finish aan de Torenlaan in Assen, waar vroeger het TT Bureau was gevestigd. De route loopt verder onder meer via Rolde en Hooghalen. Het is de eerste wegmarathon in Assen ooit. Voor de deelnemers wacht aan de finish een speciale marathon-medaille.
