Hoewel het circuit nu‘ slechts’ 4,542 kilometer lang is, heeft het TT Circuit Assen nog steeds een layout met een aantal unieke en snelle bochten en spectaculaire gedeeltes. Sluit je aan bij een aantal grote namen, uit het heden en verleden, terwijl we samen een virtuele, vliegende ronde maken.

The first section of the much-modified Assen has also been the most modified, with the old North Loop now a distant memory. But the much more modern slower and geometric section from T1 to T4 offers up a real contrast with most of the rest of the circuit.

Het eerste deel van het aangepaste Assen is direct ook het meest veranderd, met de oude Noordlus als een verre herinnering. Het veel modernere en langzamere deel zorgt voor een echt contrast met het grootste deel van het circuit.

WorldSBK’ s best ever rider from the Netherlands, tells us why the‘ GT’ Chicane is so epic.“ It is just unique and there is so much history there,” said Michael van der Mark.“ It is a nice chicane layout and there is always something happening there- always a last corner move going on. It is very complicated because if you pass someone then your exit is not as good as normal. If you pass you have to be really tight and clean to make sure you are getting the exit right. It is easy to pass someone … but it is very easy for them to pass you again. It also feels nice when you overtake someone there as there are a lot of fans.”

En dan kom je aan bij de laatste bochtencombinatie en wat voor eentje. De beste Nederlandse coureur ooit in het WorldSBK, laat ons weten waarom de GT-bocht zo bijzonder is.“ Het is uniek en er zit zoveel geschiedenis in,” aldus Michael van der Mark.“ Het is een mooie chicane en er gebeurt altijd wel iets. Het is erg ingewikkeld ook, want als je iemand passeert, is je exit niet zo goed als normaal. Als je passeert, moet je dus heel strak en netjes rijden om er zeker van te zijn dat je de exit goed neemt. Het is gemakkelijk om iemand te passeren... Maar het is heel gemakkelijk voor ze om jou daarna weer te passeren. Het voelt ook fijn als je daar iemand inhaalt, omdat er veel fans zitten.”
