A
strategic planning retreat is held each year where the VHEDC Board of Directors attend a session led by Nancy Hoglund , President of Hoglund Coaching . Hoglund provides a “ Day of Clarity ” and the board formulates the initiatives for 2022-2023 by creating a strategic roadmap .
The 2022 retreat was held at Buerkle Automotive Group Event Center in the Buerkle Honda building . The outgoing VHEDC President , Scott Haupt , shared the top successes from 2021 and the incoming VHEDC President , Mike Pelto , shared his vision for 2022 while announcing the following top initiatives :
• Business Retention and Expansion
• Workforce Development
• Investor Relations
• Financial Resources
The board members participate in this high level of planning to guide overall direction for VHEDC . Consideration is also taken into account for the various business partners and nonprofit resources in the northeast metro area . The board reviews the strategic plan throughout the year .
