When she was ready to seek a role at a different company , Britts tapped Hoglund to help her prepare for her interview so she would , “ be confident as a cookie !”
In 2022 , Britts is looking forward to working on the shows “ Jelly ’ s Last Jam ” ( Area Premiere ), which opens April 2 , 2022 , and “ Twelve Angry Men ” ( World Premiere ), which opens June 11 , 2022 . In addition to her work at Theater Latté Da , Britts also does a lot of freelance work in the area of lighting design .
Lauren Welch Lofrumento Vadnais Heights native Lauren Welch Lofrumento has also been recognized as one of the community ’ s Rising Stars . “ I ’ m just so honored for this opportunity to be considered as a young leader in the community . I wouldn ’ t be here without our amazing families and the children in our care , or the incredible staff ,” she said .
Welch Lofrumento has been involved with the Children ’ s Discovery Academy of Early Learning , which has locations in Vadnais Heights and Little Canada , pretty much her entire life . She is currently in a management role , serving as the Academy ’ s Chief Operating Officer .
It is the same education center she attended from the time she was an infant until she was 5-years-old . As a teenager , she returned to help out as a teacher ’ s aide . She then went to college , earning a degree in Business Management and Marketing from Luther College , and a Masters in Early Childhood Education from Concordia College .
After graduating , she returned again , taking on the role of Operations Specialist . It was around that time that she participated in the VHEDC ’ s Young Professionals Program . “ I learned a lot about the businesses in the community . It was also a great opportunity for me to network with people in similar places as me ,” said Welch Lofrumento , who also credits the program with providing her with valuable skills she has since passed on to staff at Children ’ s Discovery Academy of Early Learning .
