MAJOR PROJECTS UNDERWAY IN THE NORTHEAST METRO
Despite the pandemic , cities in the Northeast Metro are still moving forward with development and reconstruction projects . In fact , there are several major improvements planned in all of the cities in 2022 .
VADNAIS HEIGHTS

MNGI Digestive Health , a Minneapolisbased provider of gastroenterology diagnosis and treatment centers , just began seeing patients at its brand new state-of-the-art clinic and ambulatory care center off Arcade Street in Vadnais Heights . It opened Summer 2022 . The 23,000 square foot building is in a part of town where a number of medical facilities have opened up recently .
“ The area has kind of turned into a medical hub . MNGI Digestive Health is right next to the Summit Orthopedic building . We also have the Midwest ENT building immediately to the north of those properties . Across 35E we have the
Allina Clinic and the Urgency Room . Twin Cities Orthopedic and M Health Fairview have added facilities in Vadnais Heights in the past few years as well ,” said Kevin Watson , City Administrator for Vadnais Heights , who also shared that there will be a number of new housing units being built in the City in 2022 .
The Reserve at Sono is a new luxury rental community under construction just south of Highway 96 E near McMenemy Street . The project features an 89-unit apartment building and 72 rental townhomes . The community will be owned , managed and operated by At Home Apartments . www . reserveatsono . com .
Vincent Estates , which is currently under construction , is a 22-unit townhome development off County Road F . The new community overlooks a wetland and will feature two story townhomes with two
different floor plans .
There is also a single family residential development called Mondello Shores under construction off Centerville Road , which is just north of the junction where Interstates 35E and 694 meet . The development will include 42 homes once finished .
“ The next area we ’ re probably looking at for redevelopment is along Rice Street near 694 by the lake . There are properties in the area that have been acquired and ready for improvement ,” said Watson .
The top employers for residents of Vadnais Heights include the Mounds View and White Bear Lake School Districts , H . B . Fuller , I . C . System , SEH , Inc ., Target , Walmart and Buerkle Companies .
