The COVID 19 pandemic forced a lot of events to be cancelled in 2020 , but not the 7th annual Keith Warner Memorial Golf Tournament . The VHEDC figured out a way to make sure the tradition would carry on .
“ We normally host the event in June , but due to the pandemic in 2020 , we decided to host a fall golf event instead ,” said Liz Moscatelli , Executive Director of the VHEDC . The annual event that brings together VHEDC investors , and members of the community , took place on Sept . 28 ,
2020 , at the White Bear Yacht Club .
There were of course modifications made to keep everyone safe . Two carts were provided to each foursome rather than one , and it was suggested only one rider per cart with the other golfer walking . If both riders were in the cart , masks were encouraged .
Tee times were made instead of a shotgun start , and rather than a luncheon , a box lunch that could be picked up in the club house or delivered to their cart was made available for the golfers . vhedc . com 53
