NE METRO MANUFACTURING EDUCATION PARTNERSHIP ( NEME ) OVERCOMES MAJOR CHALLENGES DURING THE 2020 – 2021 SCHOOL YEAR
Education has been one of the hardest hit sectors during the pandemic . When schools transitioned from in-person to distance learning , it didn ’ t just impact classroom work for students in the Northeast Metro . VHEDC ’ s NE Metro Manufacturing Education Partnership , or NEME , was greatly impacted as well .
The purpose of the program is to provide students in the White Bear Lake Area , Mounds View , North St . Paul- Maplewood-Oakdale , and Roseville School Districts with exposure to jobs in high growth , high demand industries , such as manufacturing and automotive .
