WorldSBK MANUFACTURERS

A true success story for Chinese motorcycle racing, the 321RR single-cylinder Kove first took WorldSSP300 podiums, then race wins, and only last year the championship itself. Teenager Beñat Fernandez and the more experienced Team # 109 Retro Traffic squad proved the bike really was a winner. After the celebrations were concluded at the final round, the focus turned immediately to the new challenge of WorldSSP300’ s replacement, the WorldSPB Championship. The Kove 450RR will be the competing machine this time around, and there will be two of them from the start- one for Fernandez and one for Phillip Tonn.

A legendary name from the recent past in WorldSBK, Aprilia returns to the overall paddock not with its previously all-conquering RSV-4 1000cc monster but a highly sporty new WorldSPB entry, the RS 660 Factory twin-cylinder. The Revo-M2 team will field two bikes and the MMR squad two more, as the Noale manufacturer makes a welcome return to a paddock in which its Superbikes won no fewer than 52 races. The RS660 has already shown its prowess in other series, so should be a strong platform to campaign with in Aprilia’ s very welcome return to the paddock.

Another high-profile manufacturer making a kind of homecoming to a paddock it has enjoyed considerable success in, Suzuki’ s 2026 efforts will focus on the all-new WorldSPB class, which replaces WorldSSP300. Three riders, including the double WorldSSP300‘ GOAT’ Jeffrey Buis, will compete on the Suzuki GSX-8R in 2026, taking the total number of manufacturers inside the overall WorldSBK paddock to a very healthy 13. The GSX-8R is a very welcome addition to a year-one WorldSPB entry that fields six manufacturers in all.
