As we begin 2026, The Charlotte Jewish News( CJN) remains committed to what it has done for more than four decades: sharing meaningful stories, strengthening connections, and reflecting the rich and diverse voices of our Jewish community.
Like many local newspapers across the country, however, we are facing rising production costs, higher printing expenses, and broader economic pressures, all of which have made it significantly more costly to produce each monthly print edition.

Charlotte area, we’ re asking our readers to become subscribers. A yearly subscription is just $ 36, approximately $ 3.27 per month, less than the cost of a Starbucks drink.
Yet your support has an outsized impact: it enables us to continue printing a high-quality newspaper that informs, engages, uplifts, inspires, and connects our community.
At a time when trusted local journalism is disappearing across the country, the CJN remains a tangible, shared space. It is a meaningful publication that arrives in mailboxes, becomes part of daily ritual, is passed
on the second Wednesday of every month at 10:30 a. m. in Room A110 at Shalom Park.
All featured titles are available at the Levine Sklut Judaic Library and Resource Center, located within the CJE. The library’ s collection includes a along at kitchen tables, and documents the amazing life of our community as it unfolds.
Subscribing is not simply a transaction; it is an investment in preserving a tangible record of Jewish life across the greater Charlotte area and ensuring our enduring stories continue to be told, in print, for the next generation.

Center for Jewish Education Book Club Schedule
