Misano was chosen as the first host venue for a brand new chapter in the life-story of motorcycle racing - the FIM Women ’ s Circuit Racing World Championship .
Many women have , of course , taken part in full FIM racing championships before . The highly talented Ana Carrasco has even won the FIM Supersport300 World Championship already . Now Ana joins with 23 other riders in ‘ WorldWCR ’.
This women-only initiative has been introduced to provide not only a whole new world championship to determine the best female competitor there is - as many other sports do - but also to offer a chance of advancement for talented and ambitious female riders . Simply looking at these two factors , WorldWCR will surely open doors to a multitude of benefits and opportunities , both on and off the track .
All 24 regular entrants will ride identically prepared Yamaha R7 motorcycles , across six rounds and 12 races . As well as WorldWCR offering competition in its own right , plus exposure and support to its own competitors , it is also hoped that it ’ s high profile impact inside WorldSBK Championship paddock will inspire a new generation of young female fans to engage with racing on an increasingly personal level .

Esta iniciativa exclusiva para mulheres não só lhes oferece um novo campeonato mundial para decidir a melhor piloto feminina - como sucede com outras modalidades desportivas - mas também procura proporcionar uma oportunidade de progressão para pilotos femininas talentosas e cheias de ambição . Com base nestes dois pilares , o WorldWCR irá , certamente , abrir portas a uma variedade de benefícios e oportunidades dentro e fora da pista .
Todas as 24 participantes regulares pilotarão motos Yamaha R7 com preparação idêntica ao longo de seis rondas e doze corridas . Além de proporcionar uma competição emocionante , o WorldWCR também oferece exposição e apoio às suas participantes , com a esperança de inspirar uma nova geração de jovens adeptas femininas a envolverem-se mais profundamente no motociclismo de competição .
