In April , Polestar , a Swedish electric performance car brand with showrooms in Laguna Beach and South Coast Plaza , revealed its second SUV , Polestar 4 at Auto Shanghai 2023 , displayed nose-to-nose with Polestar 3 in a field of flowers consisting of 80,000 real red tulips that signify the relationship between technology and nature . Determined to improve society by using design and technology to accelerate the shift to sustainable mobility , the interior and its materials have been designed around the theme of “ soft tech ,” drawing inspiration from the fashion and sportswear industries . Maximilian Missoni , Head of Design at Polestar , says : “ With Polestar Precept we previewed a stunning new occupant experience by removing the rear window and pushing the rear header , which plays an integral safety role , further back . This means that rear occupants can now have a unique experience in our SUV coupe .”
Polestar 4 launches first in China , with production planned to begin in Hangzhou Bay , China , in November 2023 . The state-of-the-art Geely-owned production facility operates on 100 % renewable electricity . If you ’ re wondering why you can ’ t find your favorite pair of chunky platform Uggs , blame Bella and Gigi Hadid , who have been photographed walking the streets in the mini platform Ugg boots that have risen to the top of everyone ’ s must have list . After going viral on TikTok , the Ugg mini platform was suddenly impossible to find , going for as much as double the $ 150 retail price on resale sites if you can find them at all .
This spring , Ugg — founded in California in 1978 by the Australian surfer Brian Smith who created the classic shearling-lined boot for comfort and saw the boots become synonymous with SoCal beach culture — debuted its latest collaboration with the skate brand Palace ; the iconic Ugg boot is now covered in a lightning bolt print in black and tan .
