Try something new in 2022
The Waconia Community continues to be a great place to live , work , and play . In 2021 we welcomed thousands of visitors with great events such as a record-setting Polar Plunge , the Minnesota State Amateur Baseball Tournament , and the celebration of the 60th Annual Nickle Dickle Day . The volunteers for these great events make them successful , and the willingness of our community to continue to put forth those passionate efforts demonstrates how much we care to see Waconia thrive .
The last two years reinforced the importance of shopping local and supporting our community . The Chamber of Commerce promotes a positive business environment and works to enhance the quality of life in Waconia . The Chamber is only as strong as its members , so encourage others to actively participate and join the Chamber to support one another .
I challenge you to try something new in 2022 . Introduce yourself to a new neighbor , attend a networking event , pop into a shop you haven ’ t visited yet , volunteer for a Chamber event , or jump into Lake Waconia for the Inclusive Playground and Special Olympics . Give back to this awesome community we call home , and you will rediscover Waconia is the best place to live , work , and play .
