2022 Committees
Committees are a great way to network with other business people . Any member in good standing can be on a committee . Committee membership is not limited to the Chamber contact person representing the business but is open to all employees of the business . Join a committee for the networking ! Committees meet on a limited basis during the planning and coordination for specific events or functions .
Grow ! Minnesota
This committee exists to keep our members informed of public policy issues that affect local and member businesses . We are committed to providing our member businesses access and a voice in city , county , and state governments . This group also works on Economic Development by doing visits to businesses every year under the Grow ! Minnesota program through the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce .
Ambassador Committee
Mission : To meet and greet new business owners providing a personal connection to the Chamber of Commerce . This committee also visits with businesses that have just joined the Chamber , moved to new locations and / or are under new ownership .
Retail Committee
Mission : To promote the businesses of Waconia in downtown and on the Hwy 5 corridor . This group is active in event planning and advertising and is an excellent place to network with other business owners .
Tourism Committee
Mission : To develop an overall tourism plan that incorporates marketing strategies in order to increase the economic impact to Waconia .
B . E . N . Business Education Network – Manufacturing & Trades
Mission : To develop partnerships and build future workforce connections through program development ; skills ; and real-world , hands-on learning experience . In collaboration with Waconia Public Schools Industrial Technology & Engineering teachers , administration , area business leaders , and the Waconia Chamber of Commerce ; the group meets monthly at Waconia High School and different area businesses .

Nickle Dickle Day Committee
Mission : To plan and execute Nickle Dickle Day .
Community Expo Committee
Mission : To plan and execute the 2024 Community Expo to encompass business , home and family services .
Career Exploration Fair Committee
Mission : To plan and execute the 2024 Career Exploration Fair for Waconia High School students to gain exposure to post-high school career paths .
Chamber Golf Tournament Committee
Mission : To plan and implement the Chamber Golf Tournament fundraiser .
Lake Waconia Fireworks Festival
Mission : To raise funds for and to promote the 4th of July Fireworks display .
