The website has student , current job seeker , and business resource pages , with information , outside services and tips for current and future job seekers . Businesses can learn about hiring solutions and places to post jobs and access potential workforce .
Future 101 : Life After High School
Future 101 : Exploring Life After High School is geared to families with students in grades 8-12 . Seven breakout sessions designed to guide students and their families through the post high school decision process - education options , in-demand careers , maximizing high school , and financial support . Held in October each year , sessions include : college financial planning , 2 and 4-year college selection , in demand careers , and and alternate pathways .
Chamber Foundation
The Lakeville Area Chamber Foundation , a 501 ( c ) 3 charitable organization , is led by a volunteer Board of Directors , comprised of Chamber members . Our mission is to support education , career exploration , and workforce development for current and future in-demand careers in the Lakeville area through scholarships and grants . By December of 2023 , we will have awarded $ 42,000 toward education and workforce development . Chamber member employees pursuing continuing education may apply for a scholarship .

Teacher Tour , Manufacturing Month
In 2016 , the Lakeville Chamber of Commerce published the IN-DEMAND Magazine - highlighting high demand careers with good pay and advancement opportunities . In 2018 the Lakeville Chamber and twelve of our members took the next step and created the LAKEVILLE WORKS program that exists today .
Lakeville Works is a partnership between the Lakeville Chamber , the City of Lakeville , and Lakeville Area Schools . We work together to allow students to explore their future . We also partner with Dakota County , Dakota County Technical College , and many other organizations who are passionate about this work .

YOUTH SKILLS TRAINING AND CNA PROGRAMS Through YST , students are receiving hands-on learning , paid work experience , and industry certification in our local manufacturing and automotive repair shops . Many students are staying on with their employer , creating an immediate workforce solution . Through the CNA certification prep program , students are engaging in career exploration and curriculum to prepare for their industry certification exam . They are conducting clinicals at Chamber member partner businesses .
