Letter from the Board Chair
Dear Dakota County Regional Chamber Members ,
On behalf of the Board of Directors , I want to say thank you for supporting the Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce ( DCRC ). DCRC has worked hard to provide the resources and support you need during these unprecedented times , and together we are forging ahead in the right direction .

Our members are the heart and soul of the Chamber , and every decision has your best interest in mind . We know there are tough challenges ahead , different for everyone yet more alike than we know . Your membership and support are appreciated . I not only believe that the Dakota Country Regional Chamber of Commerce staff is the best in their craft , but they truly care about each one of us ; for that , I ’ d be remiss not to recognize them .
If you ’ re asking , “ What is the Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce and what can it do for me ?”, you ’ re not alone as I was like that not long ago . The answer is simple : It is a voluntary partnership of businesses and professionals working together to build a healthy economy and improve the quality of life in our community . I ’ ve been astonished to learn about the successes over the past several years that this volunteer organization has contributed to our regional success . As we look to the future , our organization will continue to benefit from volunteers like you seeking to make this region and its economy stronger . I hope you will consider reaching out to a member of the Dakota County Regional Chamber staff to learn about ways you and your employees can become more involved in the Chamber and its activities .
I am personally committed to this and look forward to connecting with each of you . I come from a family that was heavily involved in Chambers and still are to this day . I take seriously the commitment I ’ m making , and I look forward to pushing the envelope with all of you . However , this is not about me and as we move into 2022 , I am focused on our strategic initiatives that will most benefit our members : Business Recovery and Resources , Advocacy and Public Policy , and Shape and Develop Future Leaders .
We are also excited to expand on our excellent programming and provide additional opportunities for our members to network and become better informed about the issues facing our region . DCRC strives to be your “ smart connector ,” providing you the information and resources you need to successfully navigate the current business environment . Events like our Business Excellence Awards & Gala ( BEA ), Women ’ s Leadership Forum ( WLF ), and Public Affairs Breakfast series create an environment that brings our business community together to celebrate achievements and learn about the important issues impacting our community . We ’ re also excited to continue to add more resources , such as the Executive Leadership Development initiative designed to give leaders next level skills which is starting April 2022 .
On behalf of the Chamber ’ s Board of Directors , thank you for your ongoing commitment to the Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce . We appreciate your support and look forward to serving you well into the future . I hope to be your first call as you network within this great organization and community .
